Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Forced retirement

After almost 25 years I lost my job in August, in the middle of a quarantine. There are no jobs to be found that pay over $15.00 an hour and they are far and few. I am in my late 50’s and expected to end my working career with Allstate. I am not financially able to not work and have no idea what to do. I loved my job at Allstate and I was a great and loyal employee. I hear that they are now considering or have already decided to lay-off the remainder of the processor/clerical staff and send it all to India, how many more loyal long term employees will now be in my position? Jobless and depressed because the higher ups in a horrible company are money hungry wh–es that do not care about the lives of the people who made the company what it is today. Do I sound bitter? Good because I am. This company has made my life a nightmare! I wish Allstate nothing but the worst with their future.
