Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Assume best intentions....

Does that phrase apply to our normal business anymore or has it been squeezed out by all the poor morale, mistrust and people simply focused on watching out for their families by exploring the job market?

“Assume good intent” is something that management-types like holding over people who are thinking negatively. Sometimes it’s said genuinely in good faith, but it’s been misused often enough to make people suspicious.

What happened to the those Exxon employees, who were willing to work hard instead of constantly complaining about the company on this board.

What happened to the 1970s commercials asking motorists and employees to “Put a Tiger in Your Tank?” What happened to all those stuffed tiger tails that used to hang out of your gas caps? What happened to the moral and pride associated with being an Exxon employee?
