Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Here is what you don’t want to do

I saw a response to one of the threads regarding UNs, upcoming terms, etc. A responder suggested downloading company info, which includes PDS, emails, reports, etc. and sending it to your personal mail. Don’t do it as that is protected company information, if you recall your annual compliance training as it relates to company info as well as, not that I ever looked at it, you agree to those rules almost every time you sign on.

Last year, there were folks under investigation and some ultimately terminated, after they had been told they were being let go. Opportunity to again get out of paying severance and all that comes with that. It was brutal. Not to be an alarmist, but if you don’t think every move is being watched as it relates to company equipment and technology these days, then I just don’t know how else to convince you.

I emailed myself copies of my paystubs. Needed em to refi my house. No way to get em except emailing to yourself. Cant print em.

Got an email not five minutes later reminding me that emailing work products or confidential documents externally would result in termination without severance.

They are watching and no doubt some bozo got to look at my paystubs to determine if my email was a fireable offense.

Trust me, you can email whatever you want. I urge you to use email so there's a date time stamp just in case you need it

Do NOT do it. I accidentally did it - lost everything.

Yes. OK is 100% right. Your performance and attendance documentation and personnel files are company property that cannot be reproduced, copiec, and shared without Allstate's permissions and approval. I have seen people termed for this. This company owned personnel documentation also cannot be used in any away against the company in terms of litigation or appeals of any kind. This is all in the fine print of your employee conduct agreement.

OP is correct.

That response may have been mine and I did indicate that emailing to an outside device would be an issue (other than your PDS) and that folks should get screen shots (ON THEIR OWN PHONE) of other information that they will want.
