Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

How to quit?

First and foremost, a breath of fresh air in writing this post. This isn’t the best place to post this, but I am not going to talk to HR about this.

I have a job lined up and decided to take it into the financial industry. They want me to start end of May, so I have some time until I leave. What is the best way to leave to maximize my earnings from Allsnake? Leave on a payday? Use all my PTO and never reappear?

I am in claims. Thank you

To maximize your earnings with Allstate you should put in your two weeks, work those two weeks and then have them pay out your PTO. So you will get your last check from Allstate and a lump sum of your PTO. If you put in your two weeks and then use PTO, you will only get paid out your PTO. Also once you put in your two weeks you will be off claims. Easy work days.

I left last day of July which had 3 paydays, I also took 10 pto days at the end of July to try and clear my head before moving on to the next job. Notified my CSL 3 days before my return date that I would not be coming back. Still had unused PTO which were paid for in my final pay. I had stopped all other payroll deductions that I could at the end of June. I was the 3rd person to leave my unit within a 5 week period.
