What do you expect? Predictions? I hope the losses will not be too big.

Whatever happened to AIOPS? Is this the “special project” thats dropped? I was hoping we’d do something in this space.
“Special projects” gone all together. What’s next?
I can only explain it this way. It's a stalling tactic to keep employees on the ball and motivated. In other words, the VPs are also instrumentalized by the board to spread unclear messages among the workforce. There is still nothing concrete. The management is a joke. The User Conference was a joke, SKO was a joke and the last Townhall Meeting was a joke, especially the Security Panel. We all need to realize that the company is bleeding out. The products have reached their end of life cycle. So why are they pushing the renewal theme instead of focusing on tech refreshes? It is clear to the management board and Thoma Bravo that the product decline is getting bigger and bigger and there no way to stop it. Renewals bring pure cash and that is the only thing Riverbed/ Thoma Bravo is interested in. Anyone who still wants to work for Riverbed is crazy or simply has no plan or can't find another job. Customers and partners talk more and more about the fact that Riverbed's good times are long behind them. Key partners don't see the benefits anymore of selling Riverbed products anymore. There is a lack of innovation and Riverbed is accused by customers and partners of massive strategic missteps. It is a pity for the many employees who sincerely do a good job. Well on the other side all these useless VP‘s (not all but most of them)which received a title for nothing should be kicked out first. I never have seen so many worthless (S)VP‘s/ Directors which has no clue about business in a company. There is an appearance that there are more VPs/Directors working at Riverbed than the regular working people.
Depends on what the results are. Is (YoY) growth still negative? How steep is the 2021 drop off? So while this is a pattern we’ve seenfor a while, whats important is to know is if we are growing. I fairly certain our business is shrinking and I’m certain Q3/4 isn’t looking good (assuming there are no bogus oops).
Ask those that have been around awhile. Q1/Q2 has always been historically poor performance. As someone else mentioned, it’s about slowing the bad performance.
@1qac, I noticed leadership mentioning something big was happening a few months before SKO. Then SKO happens and nothing happens
I think lying to us about “something big” is going to happen is a sad and pathetic attempt at keeping us motivated. I can see this being a ploy from a dirtbag Sales VP or RMB/DS but this sh– has got to stop. We all know NOTHING is happening. The only thing that is going to happen is more disappointing sales quarters, no innovation, the tenured folks leaving.
I believe leadership is purposely letting the ship sink. I figure it’s cheaper to sell off the company when everyone is gone vs having the new owner having to do it.
RMB and team blows. His posts are completely useless and fails to mention the furloughs and the lack of “anything” he’s driving. He even brought up his time at Mitel, where that company slowly declined. RMB and the rest of the team is self-serving a–holes who really posses no talent. Two about privilege at its finest.
“Flatten the decline” is the definition if the term “weasel word”. It’s executive jargon that literally means nothing or ambiguous. So if our “leaders” are weasel wording stuff to us, they’re no better than a below average colleague and most definitely doesn’t deserve their salary.
When part of the corporate strategy includes the words "flatten the decline" you know you are in trouble.
Judging from the amount of my pipeline vanishing day by day, I expect base salary from April on.
Joined a DACH call yesterday and was listening to the local VP. Can't take this guy serious anymore. Before SKO he told us about the big news coming, then crickets. Yesterday he talked about his one hour call with RMB and all the things they are working on, but of course he can't disclose anything. So why even mentioning it? What a laughing stock.
It's really time to move on.
Hi RMB,
Regardless if the Q1 outcome, we know the performance of the company is in a downward spiral. This is based on lowered sales targets, the desire to grow channels, and the lack of meaningful marketing by campaigns across the board. Additionally, the virtual concert is being perceived as a sad outcry to capture ANY attention from anyone in order to drive up attendance and attention. These have or will fail because we tried this before.
I expect Q1 results to look good for some while bad for most others. This is, again, a function of lowering sales targets. You should ask yourself, what did your team do to increase YoY growth other than managing SFDC metrics and participating in atmospheric customer calls that didn’t go anywhere?
Sorry RMB, if you can’t speak to your own people or simply read this forum to gain a pulse on the company, you’re not an effective CEO at all. Some advice, start talking about solutions by addressing the problems in data-centric and lay person terms - none of this executive grammar that’s designed to (literally) mean nothing.
