Thread regarding Hitachi Vantara layoffs

Delaying quitting = wasting time

It’s getting harder to work here every day I feel like I’m just wasting my time here while thinking about leaving. I’ve been thinking about leaving for over a year and I’m not at all proud of it, because any delay is just a waste of time. In addition, the longer I procrastinate, the harder it becomes to leave, because I am more and more uncertain how I will manage in the new company.

Start looking now, by the time you get something else the bonus will have paid out and you'll be in the perfect position to leave

What if you have been trying to leave, but are getting stuck because you realize other companies are also just hiring friends and family?

Hitachi Vantara is a great company working through a pandemic. There will be light at the end of the tunnel. Hang in there.

New management always try to shake up the basket and toss out some fats, making room to bring in their old buddies, friends and family. This happened in every re-org in this company or any companies. It’s normal or standard operations.

Folks still remain in this company probably can show you all the org chats.

Hang in there. Stay positive and enjoy the roller coaster for now.

Best time to look for a job is when you have a job.

Employers just find you more attractive that way (not really fair, but hey, but that’s life).

Also, you have the luxury to turn down job offers not to your liking. Trust me, when unemployed, you’ll take jobs you would otherwise think are beneath you.

Good luck!

You are not wasting time. You are getting a paycheck for doing virtually nothing. Embrace it and enjoy the gravy train while it lasts.
