Yes, if in the US if you are a Kool aid drinking, management speak, charismatic, managing upward, butt kissing, yes man/woman, take credit for all your employees work, then you will always be in the top 20% at XOM.
Yes XOM is a long term career option if you live in India, Argentina, Brazil or Vietnam but not in the US, Canada or Western Europe.

No such thing as long term employment anymore, EM was probably the last of its kind. The new way of working is jumping companies every 2-5 years.
Unless you want to work for the government but it’ll be even more brutally slow than here.
NO. Not at all. No long term career. Your contract is renewed on annual basis.
Not going to turn around. Industry is in terminal decline. Management is all in on eliminating jobs in North America. Only thing limiting them firing more is time it takes to train offshore replacements.
For the vast, vast majority working here now in us and Canada MPT ranks you can make a living and provide for your family if you survive this downturn and the continued ranking compression until it lets up in 3 yrs or so. But you can largely forget about salary increases or career growth. By and large in the you now have a job. If you have 20 years left to work and want something like a career or you need to improve financially it won’t be here. I didn’t at first but now feel fortunate to have retired just as this was starting
Heck the cheapest employees in Bengaluru doesnt event think XOM is a long term career option. But if you are an MSP, you def. have a long term career since you provide even cheaper but c-appier services suitable to XOM mgmt. Even MSPs are now saying "WeAreExxonMobil". Power of XOM Koolaid! #WINNING
College kids, don't even fall for any career stories your recruiter tries to tell you on campus. If they try to sell you a long career then simply laugh, say "really" and move on to next company in line. XOM is full of lies. XOM mgmt is like a wh–e who is never truthful to anyone, they lie to investors, stockholders, vendors, employees, customers, government, and jesus!
No way with the new ranking process and as per the new mandatory PIP training. If you are mgmt. than you may be guaranteed under the table, but otherwise forget the career stories at XOM.
Not in Annandale, just way to expensive,this site just can’t survive. Employees leaving for other jobs, PPLE in a bind, cleaning staff will soon be at $15.00 an hour....Best possible outcome is Baytown if you are looking for long term, then out of Jersey for good.
