Thread regarding Cigna layoffs

Constant cuts

It seems that Cigna has changed it's strategy and is now laying off people in small groups (up to 20 people) spread out over several months rather than having one major layoffs round that's done within a couple of days. This means that any of us can be laid off at any time without prior notice. Talks about putting an added pressure on your employees.

Cigna is awful. Don't have a disability. They will find a way to fire you. The managers could care less about the people working there. They would rather ridicule you and ignore you and scorn business needs. Truly a horrible place to work.
Truly awful managers. They fire any good ones.

TRO just laid off a few dozen across the country. They were nice about it. They hate me so I have no clue why I didn’t get laid off. Maybe next go around.

Yes, the layoffs are coming in 1 to 2 dozen in order to fly under the radar as to not disrupt the stock rally.

I was recently laid off too. And the severance package was just a slap in the face. I thought I would retire with this company too... boy was I wrong 😢

Cigna is lay-off all claims platforms eventually . Prepricing has been outsourced in a india .. they were lay-off people throughout 2 years. It has been horrible , the treat of getting let go .. but wanting to work more than ever .. lack of transparency, lies .. management didn’t care , all hush hush .. lots of bias .. people in performance review still there . other with great CPH were let go .. manager won’t have your back , she is to busy directors ass ..
ps : David C give himself a bonus of almost 17 millions.. meanwhile we didn’t have the yearly compensation.. because covid19.. BS .. Cigna has great marketing.. the reality of work environment is very different

14 IPCMs were laid off last week. There were around 1200 lay offs in all. Cigna had to release a statement saying why they were doing this, it was stated they aren’t cost efficient compared to other insurance companies.

Four of my coworkers and I got notification of us being laid off in a meeting with the director of our department with about 15 others across the US. The supervisors were also in the meeting but remained quiet. My supervisor and team lead have shown ZERO empathy/compassion. They have not even talked with any of us that were effected, except for responding to my email asking questions about how everything works. We are expected to continue to work as normal until our last day. It’s insulting and hurtful.
