Three team members resigning says it all.
This place doesn’t promote within because they can’t afford to foster it. They need to buy the talent. Even then they can’t do right because they offer too little and expect too much. The only way to move up is either through parting bosses who gives you one or one that leaves.
It doesn’t matter what new focal review system they use.
The question will be whether there will be a RiF when results come in or another multi-month paycut. One of these will likely have to happen to stay cashflow even. I am guessing this time it will have to be the former.
There’s no such thing as metric increases since this assumes a merit-based system. Riverbed uses a fraud-based system where money goes who can lie without getting caught
We should ask RMB and his directs how they rated themselves and how big a bonus they chose for themselves. It’d be nice if they shared this with everyone so we can see level of vanity they losses and compare them to others “beneath them”.
Wait for the awesome Q1 results and you will realise relatively quickly to leave the sinking boat. Unless you have been on board for several years and are eagerly awaiting a gold-plated suitcase of money, like every other Riverbed employee.
Riverbed has become irrelevant through mismanagement and lack of innovation. How can it be when engineers are leaving the boat in droves?
