Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

This needs to be said

No one should believe their position is safe unless you’re a top executive. For those who enjoy their jobs that’s wonderful. But I would advise anyone to take measures that are needed to ensure you are financially/mentally/emotionally stable in the event that your position is made obsolete. Grow your network, keep your resume up to date and put something away for that rainy day. It’s better to be safe than sorry.

This should go without saying.
If you have not been doing these things already, start now.

What really needs to said "Do not trust Honeywell to take care of you, take care of yourself!"....I spent 13 years at HW Aero, high block and good career progression and to honest, got a bit comfortable with the fact that I worked for a fortune 100, until I was RIFed. Now, I will say.... it was the best thing that could have ever happened and never been happier to not have to listen to Maddog, or Arlak, or Tarazi or Ariola.......too many bad leaders to list in this post. The LT sets the tone and has run this company into the ground, but somehow find a way to fill their pockets and get rewarded for their poor performance. Get out of this mess.......

Executives are by far the least safe.
Turnover for Normal folks is much lower than e bands.

If that needed to be said, then more people are beyond stupid than I could have imagined.
