"THATS THE PATH I CHOOSE" as you still hang around commenting on an Intel section of this site. Move on to the section of whatever company was blessed enough to hire you & get on with your life.

Maybe he just wants to cash out and leave the dumpster fire behind him. I am sure that Apple is willing to pay him twice what he was making.
Next 60 days you will see non-technical managers try very hard to learn fast to pretend to be technical to save their hides or look for package/exit strategy...causing reorgs and uprise in technical folks getting some level of control. It is very unstable times for Intel.
Interesting...this is happening one week into the new CEO's helm. Maybe he is getting pushed out due to losing core competitiveness in recent years...
