Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

At&T Authorized Stores

So I have heard from CWA that over 100 AT&T Stores are being converted to Authorized Dealers Today, 3 in Minnesota have been converted, Apple Valley, Shakopee and West Saint Paul. My understanding is when they become Authorized Dealers all ewmployees in that store are no longer considered At&T Employees and don't have to be Offered A JOG- Sad that CWA is allowing this union busting technique to continue

So you get offered another job as rsc you go to different store they get rid of you at later date CWA has done nothing for you wish I had all the money back I had deducted the officers are getting paid and not fighting for rsc or stores themselves managers make stuff up and get you fired that’s what they do it’s cultural with in att wireless they have so much leeway on behaviors they promote the slammers and cover for them.if you are honest go look for another job you will be less stressed and your conscious will be clear it’s not the Cingular or Bellsouth company I worked for it’s all going to AR sooner than later and att is not competitive they lost there way should have fibered every home in foot print wood have been cheaper than dtv purchase now they are behind on wireless and home internet they should have stuck with being the road traveled for connecting people Netflix and Disney are going to eat there lunch can’t give free hbo max to all customers and call it a sale forever not to mention all top talent at hbo has left customer no service is worse than ever management at att has ruined many companies they have swallowed they have lost there way and are doing too many things and not being great at a single one

RSCs will get a job offered to them and will remain employed by AT&T not AR. Management employees will have 14 days to “find” a new job and after that will be removed off payroll if they don’t get one. The CWA was actually really smart for fighting to get that in the contract for the RSCs. Just like how the SSRs had to be offered a positions. None of that would’ve been possible without the CWA.

COR stores will be a thing of the past, sooner than later, simple fact.

Think about the head reduction in stores. Now compare that to call centers? I think you can see where the CWA cash cow is. They don’t care about retail stores until it’s time to vote , and then they want you to vote for the one party that cost jobs across the country. It’s not a union anymore it has became a political activist organization that pampers to one party. And sad but true you financed the liberal agenda

Have to agree with the previous post about the CWA not caring. The concessions that were rammed down the rank and file in the late 90’s for a card check agreement were ludicrous at best. The only benefactor to that arrangement was the CWA

CWA only cares because they like the dues.
They'll go try to unionize some non related business to make up for it.
They may very well care lass about you than the company does, and that's hard to fathom.
Email your district prez with a question if you don't believe me.
CWA hasn't really cared since the mid 90's.
