Does anyone know if you are fired can you still collect unemployment in California? I feel since the layoffs management has been pretty petty and it feels like they would rather have employees quit on their own.

More than likely you will NOT get unemployment if you decide to quit. Because it's a decision you are making, so EDD wouldn't just give you money for leaving a paid job.
