I work quite hard, but by literally forcing myself to work. Totally reluctant. Every day I try to find something that would bring back some work ethic, but to no avail. I don’t even know exactly when I lost motivation. I was losing it gradually through coming to work every day and realizing what kind of company it was.

Lose your passion and commitment, when the company stopped giving rasies to the rank and file. Now we get announcement that this next review will result in pay increases for some, but it will take till the summer to get them.
I real company has a budget and lets the managers deal out the reasies during the review, not 3 months after. I bet the executives are still getting all their stock options, bonus and pay increases on time! Duck this company (replace the D with an F)
"Here we go again with people who don't know the difference between "lose" and "loose"."
Who CARES which one was used, it could have been voice to text or not. But You got the point and thats all that really matters!
@1tql+19y1e0fh - pearler :-) I ordered the automated threat response, but got the "wrong trousers" 😂 😂 😂 PS the American did not recognise the sarcasm 🤔
As American CSC DXC I got the impression that the rest of the company is completely different then my organization
EDS was folded into my group and they seem to have a tradition of non-billable work. One guy was shocked that he was terminated he told me he was billng 5 hours a month or less before HP acquisition and after dxc acquisition. He survived 13 years telling other people what to do but his group was never profitable.
I wonder what's going on with luxoft
I wonder if DXC uki is fantastic
There are over 700 DXC companies so it's really hard from my little window to see around the company
Is there anything good here
Although the UK guys complain on this channel they seem to be having a lot easier jobs than me USA
"Loose" is an adjective used to describe things that are not tight or contained. It can be used as a verb meaning to set free or release – (i.e. the hounds have been loosed) – but it is rarely used this way. "Lose" is a verb that means to suffer a loss, to be deprived of, to part with or to fail to keep possession of.
Here we go again with people who don't know the difference between "lose" and "loose".
Sounds like management BS from "Post ID: @1tql+19y1e0fh When you loose your passion and your commitment you should align yourself to DXC’s Enterprise Technology Stack."
DXC’s Enterprise Technology Stack no one really knows what offerings are behind that and they change so often it's ridiculous.
When Lawrie took over CSC and the downward writing was on the wall - no investment in their staff just bullying and pressure to work stupid hours, doing more than 1 persons' job, endless WFR programmes continuing into DXC era.
A horrible and rancid company indeed with no long term future
When you loose your passion and your commitment you should align yourself to DXC’s Enterprise Technology Stack. This will help you in your transformation journey which will allow you to deliver digital services and boost your business results.
Combined with a user-centric Modern Workplace you will be a rising star in the midst of large-scale digital change.
But keep in mind: you only unlock value when you modernize your applications and securely move IT resources to the cloud :-)
Just thank your lucky stars that you are not a DXC Client in the UK.
To me, this question should be aimed at execs and senior management. There is a massive disconnect in the understanding of what DXC *has or *is in terms of capability!
Now let me pay tribute to the 10-15% of very capable individuals in DXC able to perform in a close to 'start up' environment - with little structure or working processes! These individuals are experienced (maybe more mature) and in some cases mentoring staff to make up for a managers inability. These key staff have lost no commitment or passion but they have lost the respect of management, the organisation is systematically 'persuading' these gems to leave!
I have just resigned, the new employer has offered me a package that makes me feel ashamed! Why did I put up with 'X' years of no salary adjustment or bonuses? Because I had misplaced passion and commitment!
Has anyone else reading this post drawn pension investments early to afford to remain working for DXC?
When King Mike the Second said that if you don't like the way the company is, leave, rather than him actually looking at what was wrong with the company and attempting to fix it.
When I then put my resignation in I realised how many people in the company around me hadn’t cared for years other than making sure they got their pay cheque.
Lost mine when Mikey Mk2 presented his strategy. Nothing but platitudes. Now we are busy shuffling the deck chairs by simplifying our offerings.
I lost mine when they kept our ANZ MD - a true Lawrie Man - and gave him Asia Pure sales led. Used to wander the floor asking "what have you sold today" and "why aren't you out selling". Everyone is a number (expense). The opposite of authentic - he cried when laying off a hundred people but hasn't shed a tear for the ongoing capability strip. Sales cadence is almost daily and it's all about hitting the sales numbers. No one cares about the customer or delivery. Surrounded himself by "yes" people and manages by intimidation. He's trying to rebrand but in private he still gripes about staff asking for hikes ("why don't they sell more then we can pay more") and will happily lie his way out of anything. He's smiling and driving a Maserati while the rest of us try to sc-ape through with no job security and three letters on our resumes that scares most potential employers - "DXC". Worst thing you can do is articulate your concerns - all the surveys get distilled to the team managers who are poorly trained and pressured to make everyone say "its great" and woe betide those who don't.
Agree with @urr+19y1e0fh there is no "esprit de corps" at DXC, from senior management down its now ever person for themselves. Most people want their job to mean something more than just getting paid but see the only DXC focus being quarterly numbers so execs get their bonuses. They don't care about doing a good job so workers don't either, evidence is everywhere to be seen. Soul destroying for those who care about what they do.
When you realize that those at the top are laughing at you, and then it becomes apparent you're living in "Hell on Earth."
I've lost passion and commitment to the company, but not for my job or my clients.
The job itself and the ability to work very flexible hours is what keeps my energy high and my passion for the field strong.
It's because I realized over 2 years ago there's nothing we or management can do about the sorry situation this company is in. It's in the hands of the shareholders - they decide what goes, and what doesn't. This is why pay raises, bonus payouts or other employee benefits are nonexistent; it is money that goes to shareholders, instead. Yet we are baited with 'potential' pay raises in hopes you will put in your best, only to get screwed over.
Once this had sunk in with me, the burden was gone and had started to invest in myself and my clients only. It was also this moment the joy in my job returned.
This company doesn't even have a mission statement, let alone a strategy. This alone should tell you that this company is without direction. Wanting to 'seize the market' is not a strategy. It's just what they hope the outcome will be. Make your own direction, OP. Better yourself. Get some certifications out of it, if you can.
You should try being on the other end that has DXC for a help desk.
Then you will truly lose motivation.
