If you know who your HR rep is then use the scheduling assistant to see how many 40 min meetings they have scheduled. It’s happening now.
Someone else wrote it few minutes ago, I've just bumped it for info. Seems like a good tip, though i still haven't tried it yet. I'm still trying to figure out who my rep is.
This doesn't tell you much. First of all, what you really care about is if the 40 invitation is in your calendar since if you are being let go you are invited to the meeting.
Second of all your supervisor may not have any 40 min blocks because they are going to be let go.
