The job security. Definitely the job security.
As a hipot, I really like being able to show up late, or not at all, leave early, copy other peoples’ work and put my name on it, taking long breaks, enjoying 2 hour lunches, and being told “great job” every time I repeat what someone else just said in a meeting. No way could I keep a job at any other place that actually requires work, like Walmart or McDonald’s.

The pay, retirement, work/life balance, vacation time, collaborative environment, great co-workers, etc. Hopefully people take a long look at all the positives and come to the realization that COP is not "bad" at all.
To the people who question management all the time, that is not your job. Do your job. If your ideas were good enough to run the company they would, but they aren't. So please take a different perspective on your job.
I think if people can't be happy here they won't be happy anywhere. At that point it's a mentality problem that nothing is ever good enough.

Because the salary is better in O&G than any other business sector. Sure... I could leave for another O&G company, but it would probably be the same or even worse than here.
