There are so many negative and angry posts on this forum. Admittedly they are by the same two or three people that were fired several years ago and who keep repeating the same old tired complaints.
But just remember, for the rest of us, we're all in this together and we should have each others back so that this is the last staff adjustment for a while.

As of today, it looks like things are headed in the right direction. Oil and NG prices are rising and we are making money. Our share price is going up which means investors like us again.

Let's leave the unhappy ranting to the two or three disgruntled souls who need to watch Poltergeist and learn it is time to go and join the light and stop spreading your anger and hate on the rest of us with fake news posts and insults to people who are just trying to work and make a living.

This was round one. Those of you who were here in 2015 remember how that went and what happened into 2016 and beyond. There will be a readjustment in the fall and more in 2022. This is not the end. This is the beginning. OP, nobody has anybody’s back. If you think that, you’ll be disappointed or worse. Managers, TMT, “leaders” all smile to your face and tell you “great job.” You get stupid recognition emails or maybe acrylic baubles for you office. You might even get called out by one of the big bosses in an investors meeting. In the end, that means nothing. Decisions are made using voodoo and questionable metrics. If you’ve asked too many questions or challenged too many of the elites, your out. If you’re a free thinker, you’re out. If you don’t toe the line and jump twice as high as your asked, you’re out. Enjoy the rest of your “career.”

I like your Poltergeist reference. This site has become the graveyard of lost souls who crave contact with their old lives and no longer is about layoffs.
Look at the number of people who talk about how they were let go years ago but are happier now. They are so happy the keep posting on this site.

I like this post - let's be supportive and not tear each other down.
I understand that it is hard not to be angry when you are told you are no longer needed, so this may be a good outlet for the people who have separation anxiety.
