Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Timing

On one of the Claims calls, didn't they say that in April 2021 is when we find out if we are going to be full time home workers, hybrid schedules, or full time office. Isn't that correct?

I also wonder if that is going to be where we get word if Tommy/Glen will be dropping the hammer on Claims with more layoffs? My unit has already been given the possible duplicate position/Assessments speech in a huddle. The timing is right as they announced the same thing in Tom's rambling April 2020 call. (Even though we didn't find out anything concrete until two months later!)

Can't speak for any other sector of the company, but trying to forecast Claims.

Lastly, it's sad I am thinking about this on a beautiful Sunday morning. 🌞 Think I'm going to have a Mimosa. 🍹 Keep your head on a swivel & take care!

That’s when they’re also going to announce sun setting of the pension plan.

When Allstate sinks, there will be lawsuits and rolling heads in the executive suite. That’s the only positive thing about all this.

Yes April 2021. More layoffs in claims from April until the end of the year as more and more claims jobs go to India. Trainers are there already showing them how to handle auto and property inspections.

The April 2021 date is the target for when all areas of the company need to have their specific department's plan in for return to office/hybrid/remote. It is not specific to only claims. I do know our claims area has already been told we will be mostly back in office if we were working in office prior and prior remote will remain remote. Our area of claims will not be going hybrid is the word going around.
