My work day is filled with tension more than ever. I do the job I have to do with a lump in my throat because I expect some bad news every hour. Under such pressure, it is really hard to wait for the end of working hours. It’s hard for me to focus on my work. How do you deal with tension that is obviously greater than ever?

Why are you putting yourself through this? Look at the current business model and all the layoffs that have been going on? Company can probably limp along for a bit longer but it will take a drastic business change for it to turn around. You need to focus on acquiring a new skill and look around. If the store survives - great. If not, then at least you did your best to prepare yourself. Don't be the one to kick yourself later for not being "more prepared."
So sorry to hear this. Hope you can get the hell out ASAP. I know exactly what you mean, I was lucky to find a new job, it's so much better to work for a good company that cares about their employees and treats them like their valuable. Hope you find something really good soon!
