When it comes to layoffs, in terms of meaningfully cutting costs that should keep the company afloat or improving some processes that will help the company in the long run, I can somehow understand why they are necessary - they will sacrifice some of us now so that in the future some other people will have jobs in this company. However, I no longer believe that this is a conscientious cost-cutting. I fear that cutting costs as we are doing here now can only lead to ruin, not salvation of the company.

Glenn “The Grim Reaper”Shapiro and “Vodka Shaken Not Stirred” Tommy are saving a nice dollar by moving American jobs to India in an attempt to recapture and overtake Progressive and Geico with short term goals. Adjusters now have to do the work of 2 adjusters now . Longer hours and more stress and lower morale companywide.
There is absolutely no excuse or validating laying off thousands of people during a global pandemic when it was clearly stated that there was not an immediate financial need to. Let alone go and buy a competitor for $4 billion dollars right after starting the layoffs. I certainly agree that layoffs are a part of business and unfortunately has to happen sometimes. But Allstate could have waited a year or two for the pandemic to wane and job market to get better. But when you have a front office full of arrogant egomaniacs and two sadistic incapable animals in Glenn Shapiro and Tom Wilson at the head of the snake it is no surprise things went like they did. Between their greed for money and the thrill such layoffs gave them to get their rocks off nothing less should have been expected. I mean they both flat out lied in Spring 2020 town halls and meeting both stating no layoffs. Lying sick scumbags those two creatures are.
