This week my department, asic/customer service is picking up our belongings. However, still no official word on if we are going back to the office. We won't find out until April, but if we are picking up things now that makes me think that the hudson office is closing or asic is going permanently virtual

There are plentiful remote jobs that more likely compensate better. Don’t sweat it.
Grunts don’t call the shots but this ‘grunt’ takes charge of their own wealth and happiness Glenn.
You must be senior leadership referring to employees as ‘grunts.’
Progressive is hiring remote.
You’re better off there.
The post below me definitely shows management doesn’t care about employees below them. Get out of this toxic culture while you can.
They. Don’t. Care. About. You.
Oh....if you want a job you'll go back into the office if and when we tell you to. Grunts don't call the shots.
Will they be extending the option for any to remain permanently home based that were not before?
We have been remote for a year now.
I’m not going back to an office.
I am not the poster below but have heard RMBC is planning hybrid with most parts of RMBC who were in office before being in office at least a few days a week. Work from home RMBC position before the pandemic will remain home based.
Do you about the RMBC? If they have to go back?
Hudson is not closing. In fact there are a very few people back working in there who can't manage working from home for personal or tech reasons. Hudson is one of Allstate's outright owned lowest cost properties and is the main server hub for the company. Facilities management in Hudson is having all employees take home their belongings as they are redoing the entire inside to promote and enable distanced working and to get the facility in line with strict in office safety process and protocols. Redoing floor plans and such.
Word is most departments in Hudson will be at least hybrid with both in office and at home working. A few areas are likely working full time in the office starting this summer as results and metrics and production has suffered so much by working from home that they want a more structured in office setting. It is not up to me to say which departments those are but not sure about Hudson claims as there are strong indications within internal conversations that Hudson claims is being eliminated entirely this year as a part of claims moving mostly to India by end of 2021.
