DFW area is experiencing forced blackouts during the negative degree weather. Anybody forced to use PTO?

There is a special code being given out to those affected by Power outages so they do not have to use PTO for blackouts.
Manager's discretion but there should be corporate guidance provided. Just another example of rogue managers getting no guidance from the top. Oh but wait, the top wanted everyone in the office at the start of COVID.
It’s manager’s discretion, not a corporate policy. So it’s your leadership team that chose to do that to you.
If State of emergency you should get paid without using PTO
I’m in the Ohio river valley and the lack of Inclement weather flexibility this place has is astonishing.
I guess being based in Minnesota they policy makers don’t give a damn but places that are subjected to frequent ice storms, not having an adequate inclement weather policy is near fatal. These policy makers should be ashamed of themselves for not protecting or considering their employees best interest and safety/lives.
If you’re forced to travel in inclement weather or use your own time that is a blatant disregard. It also shows how little these companies care for us. Profit > People. How pathetic.
