Unfortunately Layoffs ARE still being done today, Friday!
Terrified as well and several friends were let go this week. And I am in UM over eight years , not one sick day either, but it appears it has nothing to do with performance or work ethic. Good people let go. Scary times
Well at least it sounds like we are safe for tomorrow..... I was definitely naive in thinking the first round of layoffs were going to be the only and last. As I am WellCare legacy nurse and been with the company for close to 7 years.
It seems there is no correlation between years of service, performance, attendance etc. and being laid off. I can’t make any sense out of it. I always thought if you do a good job you have nothing to worry about.
I’m wondering if this is a corporate issue or a Centene issue.

What states were lay offs? Any in Tampa, Fl?
No layoffs on Friday. That is considered absolute no no.
If you know anyone that was layoff on Friday, HR should be fired. They need a working day to at least contact unemployment office for options. Leaving employee hang over the weekend like that is considered cruel and in some causes can lead to intense depression.
If you have not heard today, you are protected for tomorrow. But not next week.
Omg! I’m so sorry 😢. That’s terrible. I knew WellCare loved us and was hoping that Centene would too. But I guess not. I haven’t heard anything yet. Are the layoffs continuing tomorrow? Or are they done for now?
