Allstate will be laying off the majority of remaining US based claim operations by the end of the year.
Expect the next round of layoffs to begin in April...
The company will keep you hanging until they no longer need you.....
Get out now on your terms if you can..
If you can’t, be planning for what you will do when your number comes up...
As predicted, last years layoffs were only round one...and the next round will be more intensive..
You have been warned......

Core support in claims have not been mentioned in many posts on this board. Does anyone know how we will be affected with layoffs?
India's main shift is third shift and they work around the clock. Also most states do allow equivalent of insurance related licenses and "permits" to foreign employees if they are considered "based" in the USA. Allstate India is considered an extension of Allstate USA and qualifies for such licenses and permits. There are many India employees "licensed" already that we are training for adjusting on property and auto. There has also been licensed customer service in India for some years now.
So the bulk of claims adjusters handling auto, property inspections will be based out of India ? Is that even possible to have them doing virtual assist with American shops and issuing payments? They’re on another time zone too. Don’t they have to be licensed for states over here ?
We were told all claims in Hudson is being eliminated this year. I and others are already applying elsewhere in preparation.
Yep. It is pretty widely know here in claims that unless you live in Pune our days are numbered. Our management is pretty much open about and transparent that we are about to be chopped. Our manager doesn't even do coaching or CI anymore due to the imminent obvious elimination of US claims that are coming.
My terms is to work at half speed until they give me a severance.
No way I quit & let these scumbags off the hook.
It's like Paulie from Goodfellas. F you, pay me!
