MHN was impacted...a few depts had to choose a few people or a dollar reduction. They just told us not to worry when they bought Magellan, but then turn around and lay people off...town hall meetings then ask everyone to focus on the valuable work they do. Appears to have been people that were not liked by boss in my dept...an excuse to cut them then managing or coaching people that cant swim when thrown into this job. Take it or you leave it..sink it swim mentality.

They pick people to add up to dollars saved. As one Staff VP said, it is not the number of employees impacted, it is the dollars. The 3000 people add up to dollars. Once they decided on a dollar target it could be 2000 or 4000 employees. Whatever makes the dollar target and also keeps the business moving.
Plenty of layoffs to in California. Some leadership teams were wrecked.

Laid off today. Seems like I was mixed with all the poor performers even though I just had a stellar review. Beats me how they pick people.
