People, this is how the industry works. Centene is not different from it's competitors in the need to downsize and restructure following waves of M&A. This happens.
Look at the thelayoff.com pages for any of the other top 10 payers and you'll see what I mean. It's the same story everywhere. It doesn't mean the knell of Centene has been rung, or that Centene is a horrible place to work. It's business. This is reality. Centene is a company, it's not here to coddle you. If you want to avoid the next round of layoffs, do your job and do it well. Get noticed. Stand out. Be part of the solution, not part of the problem.
The culture of Centene is terrible. People who have been there for decades are entrenched in their silos. Nobody wants to help each other, or trust each other, or work together across the different departments to solve the problems of the company. If the company is in bad shape, it's that culture that's to blame, and every employee is responsible for it.
Maybe instead of coming on here to b–ch about your employer you do something to change the environment, or something to make the company successful?
