Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

10,000 temp employees

So it looks like the new model to be announced soon it’s going to be similar to ECIM — the 10,000 former LOC employees will be placed in any position where there is a current business need/employee shortage.
This will be without consideration of that employees skills, background, and job preferences. It will be take it or leave it, you’re fired. There’s not much future in being a temp with no job security. Sure wish they would offer a buy out for those who are tired of this type of treatment and want to leave.Anyone hear anything different?

Why would anybody voluntarily be a temp if you get no benefits? Stupid.

Nobody knows what is happening yet - you must be on the inside.
Work from home "for now" and the earliest update at end of 2nd quarter

Consider this an opportunity to show your value and to upskill! This is allowing everybody to show how we can exhibit our mission and vision. Agree that tjere is always an entitled view coming through in these posts. Some very depressed people. Breathe!

This has been known about for several months in different areas. Yi's approach is everyone is interchangeable with no regard for specific skill sets. Everyone is a cog in Yi's machine with no regard for dedication or loyalty.

Be realistic, if they are shutting down the LOC, at least they are offering something to the vast majority. It's up to you to take it or leave it. Remember, treat them as they treat you. If you find a better offer and aren't stuck with golden handcuffs, take it. Heaven knows that executive will show ZERO loyalty to the minions, why should the minions show any loyalty to them? Do what's best for you and yours above all.

Their motto: Promise you the moon and when you get within reach, pull the rug out from under you. The youngsters will grow older and see the same eventually.

We heard in huddle how the plan is to optimize the workforce by moving people around on demand to segments needing temporary staffing. Hiring freeze in effect at the front-line level. Hubs being pumped up as glorious utopia and work from home is coming to an end (probably start being phased out as soon as covid gets under control).

Wow, corporate kool-aide drinkers out in force trying to crush this thread. This was shared in TPD today. The goal is to further reduce CAs to interchangeable cogs and leave more work for CSs (they’ll soon have to rev their own Lit Mail instead of CAs.) This Generalist idea appeals to the bottom line, but in reality provides poorer customer service. Oh wait, grandma and grandpa will soon handle their claim online anyway ...

The first and third sentences are true. If you used to be working in an LOC, this should have already been shared with you. Ask your manager and they can share the FAQs with you.

You raised your kids! Now you are seeing the result of "It's all about me!" Remember, the apple does not fall far from the tree. If they can't use , abuse and neglect you for their own personal gain then you are disposable. Sad part is if you unplug them, they're lost. If they keep pushing the little guy they trained to be "all about me" just think about the outcome. Chaos and anarchy. It's scary folks! Insurance was once a secure profession. It's not anymore and you will live under fear based management until they realize they have eaten all the small fish. Glad to be out of their game. The game destroys you mentally and physically without you knowing.

Can anyone imagine how "they" would react if the same was done to "them?"

This is not made up. Just something that the team managers are beginning to share but lacking in any specifics or detail.
