This deceptive practices of algorithms and redlining to bring claims into the SIU Department looking for any way possible not to pay a claim is criminal and violates each states unfair claims handling acts. Bringing in claims because they are called in on the weekend or policies less than 90 days old as the only referral indicators is criminal. Many are brought in if the dollar value is over $3000. These are basic examples. This entire Property Referral Model concept is criminal and in ethical claim handling. This practice needs to be explored further by every state departments of insurance. Allstate is employing any method possible not to pay claims and all they have to do is look at the SIU department for all the proof they need

I am not a ‘clown’ nor have I ever been or desired to be in management. I just work in SIU and happen to understand and agree with the initiative.
The prior response obviously comes from a clown in management. It is poor handling of customers to begin a claim in the SIU department, prior to them ever speaking to a claim representative. Criminal Redlining issues exist.
Sounds like you are not SIU or you would understand the referral model concept and it’s purposes.

All good points...however I'm sure Allstate's calvary of lawyers have all their I's dotted and T's crossed to cover their jobs parts. Also I am sure many of the state DOI's took their regular palm greasings and pay outs regarding this and many other questionable claims and rating processes.
