Thread regarding Hertz layoffs

Are layoffs happening on weekly basis?

Nearly every week I hear about more people being cut. It's not huge numbers and it's always different departments but it's there. Is this the leadership's new way of doing layoffs? Do it constantly but keep the numbers low enough so that it flies under the radar?

My ZVP has been abnormally quiet and missing in action lately. Usually that is a sign that somehtong is going down.

To avoid any major press coverage they are spreading the layoffs out. Various regions will be impacted and it will inclide field operations and staff at Estero. They are saying the restructuring is due to how the zone leadership and operations has changed.

They don’t want the media to pick up on the lay offs.
They already have the lay off list ready for 2021.
Each week a different department will be targeted.
They are already in hot water at the Corporate building. They have to have a certain amount of employees there.
