Tom Wilson's plan is to cut expenses as much as possible. I can see all the jobs being moved to India especially now that many departments are on chat. In india, the average Allstate salary is $5,000 - $6,000 converted to us dollars a year which is middle class in india since it is a poorer country. So they could pay at least 7 or 8 workers what they pay one us worker and really line up dan trudan, shareholders, and glenn shapiros pockets. It's sad what this company has come to, but they had a blowout quarter with massive layoffs and beats on eps and revenue

I have no problems with India or the workers there. My issue is with upper management at allstate. I hate when any company ships jobs overseas. I also hate when it's reverse like say an Indian company ships a job to the us.
You realize that it’s your “American” bosses who are selling you all out rather than making it look “India” & cheaper salary is the problem here. Plus what’s with this demeaning “Hindu” gods. Respect others religion & culture. It easy to blame “India” & cheaper labor rather than putting your own “highly paid” American executives accountable here.
I have worked at Allstate and I must say the Management & Leadership is horrible.
No matter where they ship the job next, the company will sink as the leadership “stinks”.

I am all for a union but at this point there is too much damage done. By the time a union is put into place after all the resistance and delays that Allstate is bound to put up there will not be enough of the American portion to save or the company will be far enough along being bought or merged with another company (which is obviously their endgame) for a union to even be able to be put into place. We are 5 years too late in regards to a union. And many unions would not bother based on the point things are at. It would be wasted effort and wasted resources. People should have had the balls to do the union thing in 2005.
Allstate will NEVER allow a union to go into place. 35 years with Allstate, BTE employee, but bottom line my salary, PTO is why I was let go. No one has EVER been able to get a union going in Texas. This is an "at will" state. Companies can get rid of you just because they want to.
Better get a Union going ASAP. Before all the jobs in this company pack up for India. Kick ‘em when they’re down. That’s what they’ve done to us ! UNIONIZE folks ! Let’s do it while we still can. They are doing everything possible to cut jobs only to pad their own bank accounts. We have no choice but to unionize. They will throw a bone here and there to make it seem like they care. They don’t. Wake up y’all before your job and all the jobs go to India. How bad does it have to get before we see the only help we have is from the outside ? We are working ourselves sick. We can’t just quit without a fight. Now is the time for change at Allstate. Transform Allstate into the first American company to have a Union for its overworked underpaid employees.
