You don't want to be anywhere near that dumpster fire. If you do decide to accept a position there, figure out what wage/salary you want to be making 10 years from now and ask for it UP FRONT. Also ask for relocation expenses and extra vacation. Don't kid yourself that you'll just work your way up etc... And always be ready for your next job.
How much do they pay operators there? I'm looking. At GE we make 35.71 and you get 10% shift dif to 38.71. Are they hiring machine ops??
Lots of jobs on the Gulfstream board. Who cares? Lots of interesting jobs on other company boards for more pay, better benefits, better opportunities, and in nicer parts of the country.
Find yourself a more stable company. You don’t matter to Gulfstream. They will slit your throat if the business requires it.
Those are not contractor positions on the board. They’re FTE positions. All of the ones I’m aware of are replacements for people who quit.
After the 2019 RIF, a contractor posted here, very upset, about how he'd gotten 3-year contract, moved to Savannah, bought a house, and then got let go six months later. I want to feel bad for the guy, but it's hard...
They cannot stanch the loss of experienced talent. Who will they hire in an attempt to fill the voids? Contractors of course.
Back to work you knaves!
They have to restock the RIF bait
