what is wrong with KLTC?

What are our GLs and supervisors doing? KLTC is hiring non-stop and we can't even get a simple pay increment of RM300-500 (which is not even much I must say)? Inflation is higher than pay rise and the company blames it on Covid19 and the economy. Some of us worked really hard in the past 1.5 years and do not get a single reward out of it. Now the ranking cycle is back but we all know it will be pointless because we most likely will not get anything in return next year.

We are also getting more and more work, some days working >12 hours and the pay definitely does not reflect that. And what is with the assignment rotations in this company? Almost everyone stays in their role doing the same exact thing for 3-4 years.

Who else agrees with me? Please share your two cents on issues in our organization.

GL and supervisors are just low- and mid-level management. They don't get to decide on pay rise.

EM created a culture of job rotation. So, now there's a mentality that you have to change roles every so often. In reality, that is not necessary and it's not a problem to stay longer in a role. Unfortunately, the culture doesn't support that. Therefore, whenever someone starts a role, the mentality is never about performance and delivery, but the timeframe for the next role.

Remember KLTC exists to get the work done that is expensive to do in US. So unfortunately you have the short end of the stick, the local labor laws don't help either.

Pay and benefits won’t increase until people start voting with their feet. In other words people have to start leaving to go work at other companies and they have to be unable to rehire people to fill empty spots. Until they can’t get the people they need they have no reason to pay more.
