Allstate used to advertise the quality of claim service in all advertising.At one time it was “top tier.” It was a source of pride. It is not coincidence that none of the new commercials mention “claim service.”
The current state of Allstate claim handling is one of the worst in the industry. Literally one of the worst... The Allstate executives know it and don’t care since it is no longer a priority. The only thing that matters is artificially elevated market share, driving down expense ratio and elevated stock price.
I strongly urge you to look at Allstate’s Facebook page before ever considering business with them. While you find a number of complements from customers on the pages of Geico, Progressive and State Farm...you find NONE on the Allstate FB page. What you do find is complaint after complaint that all say the same things.
I have pasted below a comment from a current Allstate customer which is typical of current customer feedback.
Allstate wants to have the cost structure of Geico and Progressive but as long as they continue to destroy their claim structure to pursue “expense ratio.”, they will never beat those carriers at their own game. Not only are those carriers cheaper but they also have decent claim and customer service...something that Allstate gave up on...
Don’t believe the hype and those terrible commercials....run far away and stay far away from the current dumpster fire that calls itself Allstate Insurance.”
“People don’t believe in this company I have been a customer for couple years and never had a problem until someone destroyed my car and have to file accident report on my policy Allstate.but it’s been the worst treatment ever, Lucia Xxxxx has been handling my case and has not been helpful and her customer service is horrible and rude they hire people from the streets that are careless about customer service and specially LUCÍA Xxxxxand I been trying to speak to higher level management and looks like they all cover for themselves
