As an exempt employee I love my coworkers and sacrificed a lot for Allstate, often working overtime for free to fix problems. But that stops now. My work effort drops 50% and I don't GAF anymore. They keep telling us "they need to cut costs" but on the other hand go out and spend a few hundred million buying National General and keeping useless nitwits like Merten and Sargeant around with their 250k annual salaries. It's all political now and time to get the fck out...

Ask the arrogant waste of space scat for brains "director" that suddenly decided to chime in on our boards how much Tom Wilson, Glenn Shapiro, and the rest of their 10am three martini lunch cohorts appreciate your's and thousands of other Allstaters' sacrifices. These rich pinheaded pricks wouldn't piss on you if you were on fire. But they would set you on fire for two more shares of Allstate stock or a $5 bill.
If you go into work everyday with a positive attitude and they continuously overwork you and give you unattainable metrics and performance goals you will either die of stress or become one of their mindless slaves driving the kool aid . They laid off too many adjusters and blame us for not being competent enough to do the work of three adjusters .
If you go into work everyday with a bad attitude and purposefully put in less effort, then it's going to infect you as a person. Your personality, your family and friends, your ability to advance and move forward whether it be at Allstate or elsewhere. Unless you are somebody who is only a couple years away from retirement, your attitude is a horrible strategy that is only going to serve to tear you down and cause a plethora of problems otherwise (being fired, getting divorced, losing friends, losing self-worth).
They have no intentions of the cost cutting reaching the customers. They don't care about the customers much like they don't care about us the employees. The cost cutting is all about filling Tom and Glenn's bottom line and wallets and the bottom line and wallets of their Wall Street fat cat share holders.
They keep cutting costs but the customer never sees that. I mean really....
They have pushed so many to a point of no return.
Everything that you do has repercussions. It comes back to you one way or another.
