With evidence that Allstate is now using customer surveys to "thin the herd"and term for cause to prevent having to payout severance more deceit and lies and further demoralizing is underway. However this is far from a new tactic from the talentless, unoriginal, unqualified leadership of this company. The Ivory Tower makes irrational, illogical changes that upset the customer base and the lesrons in departmental management scramble to save their own hides and make it all about these surveys in which it is impossible for "passing" levels to be obtained. Thus leading us all to the unemployment slaughterhouse so Tom and Glenn can play footsie with the shareholders and make bonus while the rest of us file our weekly unemployment claims and wait for our weekly WIC deposits. At this rate the new survey "goals" put into place guarantees that within 6 months 75% of our department will be "termed for cause" or stressing through a performance UN. This is the great layoff that is coming that avoids extended medical benefits, 60 day notices, severance, and in some states no unemployment. We are being set up to fail and lose our jobs and there is nothing that we can do about it but walk single files into the meat grinder.

I work as a VTA in auto claims. We haven't seen survey results in months. Which departments are getting them?
It doesn't appear that there is any plan to allow Auto Appraisers back on the road. It is way beyond where you can believe it has anything to do with concern for employee safety. In talking to shops this is the only company not going out in the field. Im hoping others speak up so I'm not the only They would rather have a few more done per day and grossly overpay when the supplement comes in. I was meeting my productivity number easily before and working fewer hours.
Why bother challenging? You're going to spend way more time and money than you'll get it of the process. That time is out to better use looking for a new job.
If you feel like they are going to do this to you, start looking for a new job now, get a headstart on getting out, hopefully on your terms

It is possible in some states to challenge a termination for performance. I know some who have done it when their performance has been E and BTE, and they were targeted.
1-Make certain you download all of your performance documents going back at least 5 years. Forward it to your personal email.
2-Get copies, screen shots if you need to, of the changes in work load, staffing changes, and anything that has made it impossible for you to get your work done in a timely fashion and/or within 40-45 hours a week. Since some things you have been sent or directives you have received are likely supposed to be for internal use only, you will want to get screen shot so the company cannot say to sent internal documents to yourself.
Also, make certain you have the names, phone numbers, LinkedIn, and personal emails of co-workers or leaders who can and will serve as references for future jobs and do the same for them. Focus on those you know are/were doing good work.
I feel like I work for a completely different company. Are they just leaving us out in the dark out here in NJ?? Because I know nothing of this. I know nothing of surveys!
No one escapes karma, it’s coming for you Tom and Glenn.
OP is spot on. These surveys are their new weapon. I know many including myself who may no longer be with Allstate by end of summer because of these surveys. Despite several being BTE for the last few years.
The Leadership Clowns of Allstate even messes this up as if they were on top of their game they would have been able to save of a lot of severance and the additional unexpected unemployment that was paid out in 2020. Glen and Tom's bonuses could have been even fatter last year has they had a clue to do this last year.
They even s— at downsizing.
This is very true...my whole team is suffering in surveys. A lot of teams are far from goal of 80%. This is absolutely ridiculous but it is what it is.
