It is obvious what is going on here. We all saw this same corporate song and dance last year and there are even more signs of mass layoffs again this year with claims being the most impacted. In fact 2021's layoffs will affect more than 2020. How do we know this?
- Same pre-layoff denials, deflections, and lies in recent town halls and corporate meetings. Same degrading tone and scripted nonsense.
- Evidence from many that employees in India are being trained, licensed, and certified to do all claims functions including auto and property adjusting and inspections.
- Mass increase in virtual and AI testing in all sectors and areas.
- 2/3 of job postings are based in India and many are claims roles.
- Allstate India opening 2 more centers within the next 12 months.
- Areas and departments that were originally told they would definitely be returning to the office mid year suddenly are not.
- Already home office meetings done to verify and change severance policy.
- Continued blatant demoralizing and implementation of unrealistic work demands to pressure employees to quit or be terminated for cause.
- Every department has increases in going more chat based which allows for more bots and simplifies communication for India employees.
- Pay structures and band changes aligning more with overseas economics.
Anyone who doesn't see what is going to be happening in the next year or so are either worried and scared to the point of denial or are so arrogant and overly confident in their abilities that they think there is no way Allstate will eliminate them or they think Allstate simply cannot survive without their presence.
