having recently left DXC where I was a people manager for 5 years I can tell you that the possibility of getting a payrise for level 5 or above is very rare. You would need to be paid well under market rate, the fact that you have not had a rise in 5 years means nothing if DXC think you are being paid within a benchmarked range. You may get a rise if you are counter offered by DXC if you show them a letter of offer from a competitor or you somehow manage to jag a promotion....all in all pay rises for those that are not level 4 and below are extremely rare

When I was a manager and had responsibility for hire, fire , and pay increases at a previous employer the pay increases for a BU or DEpartment was already budgeted and would be passed down to me. Maybe it was 6, 8, or 10% across the board, and it was up to me to give it out to my direct reports as I see fit.

This having to wait till August for the actual increase is total bull sh*t and lousy management, Our functional managers should know how each and everyone performed already. People managers not so much and the two in a box management style is the dumbest thing I ever seen!
