Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

One, O doesn’t even deserve to be in the same class as those companies. Two, raises or promotions are non existentent. Three, the cloud migrations are run by apes with no tech exp. mostly secretaries good at sending emails. Four, oracle can only compete with Amazon if they discount their SaaS stuff like 99% off. The GBU software and leadership is basically the bottom of the barrel. The companies they acquire come in and take jobs and they’re useless slobs. Like my manager. He should be managing people at Piggly Wiggly. My old manager had no choice cause no one wanted his c-ap job. Just keep depositing those checks Oracle and I will be fine day trading. Oracle pay can be fairly competitive in that realm. They are slow with raises and promos, however, because they want you locked in with mediocre LTI.

And, as far as the ex-Amazon OCI team? Oracle didn't have to get TOO competitive; there's wasn't a rock star among them who left Amazon. It was a bunch of people who were skating by, hoping their mistakes wouldn't catch up to them.
