Ok who believes this one?
We all know that guy who only does good deeds when he is sure he will be caught in the act.
We all know humble people who routinely help others with no expectation of acknowledgement. In fact these humble people would have a conversation with journalist and ask them to please not advertise their deeds.
The CEO falls into the first category.

I always copy the email to a folder and then delete it from the folder as at one point they were tracking who just hit the delete button, my manager had a conversation with me about deleting the ever so important emails LOL
The other emails that I filed appropriately were
the one requesting staff to post positive company reviews on Glassdoor
the one with talking points share with reports on how to extol the virtues of Ford vehicles to your friends, neighbors and family
I don’t feel the need to be a Ford salesman or PR person, or to strong arm my reports to do the same.
Wow, Got an email cascade from my manager, to cascade the CEO's magananimity to my team.
I chose to ignore.
PWH has completely embarrassed and discredited herself with her never ending fawning coverage of Farley. Does she have any self awareness whatsoever? Ford PR is playing her like a fiddle.

How empty of a human being does Farley have to be to agree/ set/ or participate in a PR stunt like this. Authentic people would say absolutely not because it is coming from the heart. Nope. Farley is like the Kardashians, not going to do anything unless a camera or the press is there. What a disgusting stunt.

Sure, just by happen stance a reporter happened to be at TCF, recognized a random person who was volunteering anonymously as JF. Then as luck has it, had approval from his boss to do the story, approval to send a crew onsite to photograph, approval from TCF, approval from Ford Communications / PR to do a story, approval from JF to participate, write the story, send the completed story back to Ford to be cleared, and then filed for publication. Yep sounds totally random and not planned and staged.
If you only read the Freep, you would not know General Motors existed. They are the Ford Motor Company marketing department these days. Enough printing of Farley’’s press releases as news.

There has been questions in the glass building what is he good for?
He tried racing, running a company, launching the Explorer, being the CEO...
I'm happy that he found his true calling, feeding the homeless, now he can step down and devote his life quietly to that
