Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Real companies don’t run to Government to solve their issues

Unlike Ford running to the new administration. All we get is boo hop, need help, need loans, need EV subsidies. What we need is leadership!

When will VW buy us?

From AutoNews: Days before Volkswagen Group held an event to announce a major ramp-up in its electric vehicle production, the German automaker abruptly told its South Korean battery suppliers their current technology would be largely excluded from those plans.

The decision by the world's second largest automaker to move the bulk of its cars to a different battery cell in two years came as a shock to LG Energy Solution and SK Innovation , three people with knowledge of the situation told Reuters.

Oh you know that Ford family is not going to throw in the towel. Have you not read freep? The Ford family is critical to Ford especially the next generation. Sarcasm.

Nobody is buying Ford unless the Ford family decides to throw in the towel. Until then their special class of shares are their trump card and will thwart any takeover attempt. And I don't see the family giving in anytime soon with 2 Ford trust fund babies receiving board seats and prominent roles within the company. If anything its setting up the next 20-30 years of family rule.

Governments and companies mix in the style of corporate statism or corporate fascism.

The government is real, the companies are real, the fascism is real.

Lack of freedom is real.

Yeah, the lines between the government and companies are getting blurred. Real companies don’t run to Government to solve their issues, and real government doesn't go to companies to solve their issues. The two just don't mix.
