So apparently there are some people actually returning to Riverbed.
I personally know of two people who have returned and since we are not particularly close I am embarrassed to ask them why the hell did they come back?
Aside from that, I am more interested in what it is like here for those who return and are they now in a much more unfavorable position than they were before.

I know someone that came back. Basically left riverbed as a big fish and was converted to a guppy at the new company. A combination of his ego and a rough corporate culture made this person want to leave ASAP. Now I know this person tried to interview with other companies but didn’t have the technical and personality chops. The only option was to return to Riverbed and be that big fish again, feel like a winner but it’ll be short lived.
People come back for various reasons. I know someone who came back because their gig just didn’t work out the they hoped.
Riverbed is a good place for a paycheck but if you’re looking to build a career, look elsewhere. The leaders here don’t want to foster talent but rather pick up some POS garbage off the street or their own washed up peeps, which I might add is always a poor decision.
