Watching Allstate leadership realize they screwed up in the last round of layoffs and scramble to get people into positions that were left open and desperately need to be filled because important work is not getting done. I'm telling you, I've enjoyed myself more than in a long time just watching this unfold in real time.

Top Management is laughing all the way to the bank. They planned it.
I can tell you as someone in the know that they are not realizing that they screwed up. From directors on up this was planned. They knew from the start that areas would be many many people short and they factored in an "acceptable" amount of customer loss as a result. Now from site leaders on down they are the ones scrambling as they were left with the mess and they were the ones that are scrambling as they are being told "handle it" by the very people that initially made the decisions and that knew very well this would happen. Zero concern and consideration was in place for the employees, department leaders, and actual department heads.
