Some are leaving at end of the month.
Wow. Sad to see this happen.. I'm the original poster the 'original poster' Thanked. What will happen to Team Xerox (Blue logo for those of you old folks...). TTX stands for "Take That Xerox" , I was IRIF'ed a Few years ago after a 30 YEAR Career after being "outsourced" to India...... Gave my heart/sole/days/nights to Mother X... in the end CI and JV never knew my name...
@3qra+19TaP5D9 Project Own It was ‘created’ in 2018 to save the company billions over the 3 yr period to get us to profitability. CI and JV had no idea how f Ed up this company was thinking they could come in, sweep up and sell for a pretty penny. What they didn’t know was how screwed up it was from port the stern. It was and is a sinking ship. Project own it is terrible and a waste of time. If your name is on it you’d better deliver or you’re gone — no room for error. I spend more time spinning slide decks then I do my actual job. We are all id–ts and know nothing. All hail JV MM JCS etc.
Asking our team to sell i.t. Services was a big mistake and they layed off reps that haven't been able to sell that Tuesday. I.t. Services is not what they signed up for. I empathize for them.
How bout ,”Project Your Turn in the Barrel.”
The I-con vultures are all about hoodwinking employees, customers, investors while enrichening themselves. Smoke and mirrors to cover reality.
Out of curiosity what does “project own it” refer to or mean? What is this ownership they speak of?? Or is this in fact just a nicer sounding tag line vs “project fire people” ??
I think what many clearly are missing, Xerox is moving away from a direct sales force to a privately owned dealership model. The same as the competitors. Reduces overhead significantly on Xerox while passing the buck to dealers. If you step back and look at everything that has transpired over the past few years, this is the only logical explanation. Be assured, Xerox will always make copiers and printers, but if you are a direct employee involved in a sales or support office on the direct channel or supporting that channel, your days are numbered...
JV lectures employees not to just be going through the motions but continues to layoff and crush morale and then has zero guts to even address it. Complete lack of leadership combined with rank hypocrisy.
So does 3000 to 3500 heads come close to covering how much of project own it goals for 2021?
John V before: "One boat! One team!"
John V now: "One (smaller) boat! One (smaller) team!"
John V: "One boat! One team!"
Also John V: "Well, except for these 3000 we're letting go......."
Xerox doing what they do best ...Laying off their prized asset “ the employees .”
Sounds like at least 10%, possibly more if these numbers are close to truth
Yes. I heard same about 3200 WW
I heard 3,000 to 3,500 were let go across direct and XBS world wide. Has anyone heard the same number?
Lost 2 techs and one long time manager...direct xerox mid south...all three were considered top of the line people...not sure what xerox is thinking...oh...they are thoughtless!!!
It was not just XBS.
I have to vent, it disgusts me by one of my co sales rep they layed off at my core this week that worked hard, committed to job and was turning in deals. Then you have others that were spared and can't sell without being handed current customer deals on a silver platter they clearly didn't earn themselves. At sax it's all about who you know.
East coast here and have heard nothing so far. Can you update on which cores were hit?
A day late, but we got hit hard at XBS yesterday. Lost a long time service manager as well as some sales people. Followed by employees quitting after he was let go. Bad day. Told to carry on as usual.
Nothing at XBSNE so far
I know of at least 7-10. Today was a dumpster fire
Xerox actively recruiting for board members this month! Express your interest to HR.

XBS here. Bunch of sales hit. Also, several in service.
Webster hit 100% confirmed. Engineering, maybe more. Other locations unknown.
Guess that means St. Patrick’s Day is cancelled this year? Can’t be hungover ‘cause too much extra rowing to do... unless, hmmm.
Those left, the whips will be out, row, row, that one boat
We lost 2 as of right now at the "old core" building, still alot of day to go
Today the Titanic took in more water. When will it totally sink in Webster as more and more buildings shut down?
About 3000 people
Webster rumors circulating but have not heard anything definitive. Usually takes awhile before people jump on here to report in though.
Have not heard anything in Webster. What depts?
Across the board in Webster.
XBS as predicted, or across the board?
one boat one team then today we throw more people overboard
