Some of my coworkers (and I've seen a few people here say similar things) think there's nothing we can do about the current situation since everywhere is just as bad. Allstate has convinced them that all of this is normal. But it is not! Just one example, I just checked GEICO page on this board. They've had three posts in the past four years. This board has five times that on a daily basis. If you search for other insurance companies you'll see there are some with just as many complaints but also others with just a few (or none!)
My point is that there are better options out there, plenty of them. Allstate just wants you to think there aren't.
