Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Don't b–ch just switch soon as people get vaccinated this whole company going to get a harsh reality check of employee relations , no one I know is taking their garbage surveys everyone is in a silent holding pattern then we're dumping this company for it's inconsistent leadership , rif, poor compensation, fire them it's your time and energy they failed on so many levels.

Who is in charge of providing messaging to these leaders? Every leader I’ve worked for at Allstate hates it, but puts on a face when given messaging from their higher ups. I wouldn’t think a leader would need messaging nothing shady was going on behind the scenes. That’s my 2 cents.

Toxic people/environments gaslight you into thinking what you are feeling/experiencing is normal as opposed to every fiber of your being screaming it’s not. Trust yourself and your instincts you’re not wrong.

State Farm is just as bad. All the same ”industry leaders” in each others pockets.

The problem with Management understanding our angst has been around more than twenty+ years. In the past we had the chance to sit down in a meeting and try to work TOGETHER to solve some of the myriad of problems we had in/with our jobs. Then, when a "transformative" option became the objective, the rift became "US" vs "THEM". Management actually began to belittle our concerns and branded people as complainers or 'resistors'. No matter what the concern, the divide became greater and now seems substantially irreparable. (kinda' like the national political rift as well) Upper Management has taken on the "let them eat cake" mentality and WE should just be grateful and say thank you as the emotional beatings continue. Instead of working TOGETHER to make and KEEP this company what it was formed to be – we are mostly counter-productive like trying to nail jello to a tree. Being in "good hands" is a symbol and not substance anymore. General Wood is rolling in his grave.

Just a part and example of the mental abuse that Allstate puts on their employees. Much like an abusive husband that batters their wife convinces the mentally abused victim that all marriages are like that.

The issue then stands that once people finally realize that the toxic environment within Allstate is "not normal" we are still at a point where, short if taking our chances in a still poor job market during a pandemic that there is nothing that really can be done. Even if the masses know it is "not normal" there still is not much good that can be done about it.

Start a union /s

I left a large competitor to work for Allstate.
