Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Some think they deserve a lot more than they actually deserve?

Intel has become the land of “I deserve”. Everyone who works there thinks they deserve something because they feel they come from some humble beginnings. Honestly is not best to learn how to just deal with it unless the new whole changes culture.
I hate to tell you all .. but Intel is going to go back to “only the paranoid survive” mentality. This will weed all of the sea in babies and dead weight out.

That’s right, @5ncl+19LePhOd. I talk about this all the time.

When your job performance is primarily based on your individual performance compared to your teammates if you’re not your own advocate who will be ? I’ve always felt they should reward teams and not individuals.

@1ycq+19SvOvxX: Maybe in those business groups, if you do not do that, you will look bad instead of looking just average.

How about "I deserve to be treated like a human being by the company instead of a serial number"?

There are many folks, especially from SSG and Marketing whose middle names are “Look what I did all by myself.” Recognition animals.

I agree. At intel, people are spending more of their time fighting internal people, hiding their information from others instead of spending their time to win against competition.

the issue is again there are a lot of t–d and their worse than tire friends at high levels that are extremely and rightly insecure of their positions so it is all about self preservation. The internal environment is uninspiring.

We need to be paranoid about the competition and the quality of our work. No one wants to work at a company where everyone is paranoid of each other.

Grovean culture was not perfect. Let’s take the strengths and learn from some of the work that’s been done on workplace dynamics between the 90s and now.
