Can’t afford a job?

I felt really bad when I saw someone’s comment here that they liked the job at DXC but in the end had to quit because they could no longer afford it. That’s exactly my situation. I understand everyone who doesn’t like this company, or who has complaints about management, but personally I can't complain. I love what I do.
However, I will have to quit because I can’t afford it anymore.
Is there anyone else in such a situation?

To the previous poster holding out for retirement..... unless you are financially ready to retire, be prepared for a WFR. I was in a similar situation when jobs in my group were eliminated last year. I was fortunate enough to quickly find a new job, and the extra income at almost 2x my DXC salary is padding my retirement accounts!

I used to love what I did also. But was transferred out of my area of expertise because of outsourcing. Who would believe that going to work for an outsourcer would outsource your role?

Funny we are outsourcing to D company and I just read that D company is outsourcing to H. But I see your point no salary increases in over 5 years for the people who really do the work and prices keep going up. Each year our earned income is less and less.

At this point it's take what u can get from the company for as long as you can afford it and then quit and find a real job. Lucky for me I'll be at retirement age in 6 years and will try to hold out as long as I can
