Why don't we hear from the American doughboys

I am in the US, and was WFR'd earlier this month. I concur with the post above from "US Based Employee laid off right before 10 yr annv| Post ID: @7qdj+19SdOvMs."
I had a new job lined up before my final day with DXC. I got 8 weeks of severance from DXC. I am now taking 3 weeks vacation. As with the poster I referenced above, I will start my new job at 2X the pay of my DXC salary. I am very thankful to have been WFR'd.
If you are waiting on things to change at DXC, you are in a for a very long wait.
I’ll bite. I’m US and was with DXC for almost 10 years before they laid me off a few months ago. You’d be hard pressed to find anyone real (below L2) in the US that has anything good to say, but they’re all so disgusted, why waste your breathe. Probably why you don’t hear anything.
No raises in over 6 years, and if you weren’t legacy CSC it’s been longer. US hires are easier to terminate, most states have at-will employment laws. Many many US people are being let go - far more than anywhere else. There are a handful of client-facing people that have been given retention bonuses to stay but that’s not enough for any skilled tech with enough self-respect to stay put.
I personally stayed longer than I should’ve because I am a glass-half-full kind of person and I kept getting strung along by false promises of a retroactive pay increase for a promotion years ago. Shame shame shame on me. I was also worried about making any career changes during Covid.
Being let go with an offensive severance package was the best gift DXC ever gave me. It only took 3 weeks to land a new role at a new company and I doubled, yes doubled, my salary.
Don’t be afraid to leave.
Brits and Aussies have only drank a little of the Coolade. But they are catching up...
The Brit and the Aussies must be very smart since if you ask an American they don't know what is a pommie or dough boy.
Dxc has over 600 incorporations so I imagine dxc cannot be generalized.
Overall it seems working for legacy CSC in UK or dxc far exceeds exceeds CSC in USA.
Legacy EDS was bloated with 41 layers of management non-billable managers and still too many remain in mid management. Eds Purge of management should have been quicker but ml cut a deal not to fire anybody for a year.
Long-term Outlook of dxc has more to do with let's call it macroeconomics of the industry and less to do with dxc itself
Dxc just cannot compete with low cost TCS Infosys and does not go after this support for legacy business which forces dxc to go after home runs hail Marys and it never gets them
No question about it Salerno butter cookie is over his head. BPO Ito is old news. Salerno Cookie haven't moved into a new market new client new industry new future
At Least Salerno has privately taken public speaking classes and doesn't say um ah you know right every other word. Seems to have some type of speech writer to prepare remarks for him to read. He got no game
What happened Botany Bay?
Botany Bay closed its doors in February 2019, with bosses saying it wasn't 'economically viable' to repair the crumbling site. The five-floor mill, which dates back to 1855, was -home to a number of stalls selling everything from clothes and gifts to furniture.
The misery is global!
POMS lead the world remember.
I think we started outsourcing to Botany Bay many years ago...
We in the US update , but when there is nothing new to say, then there is nothing to post. We can lose our jobs if we post company confidential information. And I for one will not do that.
If after the review period is over and I am not slated for a pay increase, then all bets are off!
i know a great many of the ANZ (Australia/NZ) people are regular bloggers and readers on here
