I have been told I will be made redundant in IBM. This is because not enough people took up a voluntary redundancy offer in January. Am I alone? Or is IBM just covering up a greater number of redundancies in Mulhuddart? I mean, it's easy when everyone is so disconnected and everything's done online...

I really do not understand how a company like this has tons of FLM and SLM, I do not see the value of having duplicated SLM roles "doing and performing" the same thing.
I wont say my area, however Ireland is a Money Laundry place.
All "leads" and calls are literally fake having the worst rate conversion and cheating with the number QoQ.
pre Xmas redundancy offer was 5 weeks pay for every year worked.
what I've noticed now in IBM is that there are more people telling people what to do - than there are people actually doing revenue generating work
There are sooooo many worthless executives in IBM it is disgraceful!!! I know an employee who is doing the work of 3+ people and he has TWO MANAGERS and SUPPORT that s—s.
GOOD LUCK IBM!!!
What is the voluntary redundancy plan? Does it worth the money?
The target was 80 odd people, double that amount expressed an interest but I think I read only 100 voluntary offers were made from that, some people were blocked by their management. Rumours about Watson health being sold, not much left in mulhuddart if that happens
Can’t speak for Ireland but in the UK more people applied for voluntary redundancy than they had spots to fill, leaving many unhappy people most of whom ended up leaving on their own accord. We have barely enough people left to sustain our accounts yet the number of go to market overhead staff who add no value keeps increasing.
