Here’s the info I gathered so far about everything. ACM demoted to a supervisor position (ACS), and basically only in charge of inventory counts and DDR (which is now called RTV). RTV is same as DDR but now given responsibilities for club safety walks and inventory counts. ACS is also no longer in charge of cash office, MSM is now. Our Sr. Merch was offered the assistant GM position, OPS was offered something else but may end up leaving. Seems like the people who were comfortable in the positions they were in are getting pushed out and the people who want to climb up the ladder in the company are getting “better” positions. 2 MSS’s became 2 of the PIC people and so did our HR manager. I also heard there is an Omni supervisor position. This is going to be a sh— show for the next month or two. Good luck everyone.

Here I am thinking monday could be a good day. I thought maybe they are forcing some of the older managers to retire, not that I agree with forcing people out of a company but it has been common practice of bjs for the past few years. Nope no promotion, instead i get offered sh– pay to be an overnight manager (which is basically "senior merch" just overnight). These changes are ridiculous. They expect the overnight merchandise manager to do the job of a senior merchant and cut the pay to a terrible salary. We are expected to work 9 and half hour shifts. While the corporate f—s pull six figures, plus bonuses to come up with these dumb changes, rarely step foot in stores, and never do any labor. This is nothing more than a money grab from the people who make this business run. To speak on the pandemic; they dropped the ball on incentive pay. They gave us crumbs to risk our lives because they know people need their jobs. I agree we should unionize at this point. So until a union does happen I will burn through my sick days, and do a sh– job until I get fired, all while i look for new career options. F— bjs

Yep this is a joke and a half. I spent 16 years with the company. 14 of those as a produce supervisor. They offered me a Produce Clerk position for $5 less than Im making now. My GM (who I like and have no animosity towards. Just doing his job) said I am making less because I have less responsibilities. The only thing I will not be doing other than what I do now is writing reviews and giving correctives if needed. I have a 40 mile one way commute to bust my butt for this company, put my health at risk daily to help get them through a pandemic, help them make money hand over fist all for what? Every time I hear that half hearted thank you message on the overhead I want to throw up. So glad I can be of service. I think this choice will be their doom. Oh and I see some people got a severance package which I asked about. I am getting nothing simply because they "offered" me another position. So so shady.

I was an overnight manager/specialist for over 20 years. I was offered a 5$ pay cut or a 6 week severance package. 6 weeks for 20 plus years. I always knew this company was ignorant but I never could imagined being in this position. 20 years and this? Speechless.

Here’s everything in the restructuring so far and the new positions
Sr Ops and Sr Merchant are no longer. There is an assistant gm and the merchant is now an overnight manager for significantly less money. Asset Control Manager is no longer and it is now a supervisor position (good move for a company that lost 16mil in shrink last year). HR manager is no longer. All perishable mangers and supervisors other than meat are gone and there is a new perishable manger which is also significantly under paid. Member Service Manager took pay cut and has a set schedule (which I believe most of these positions have). All front end supervisors are gone. They’ve instituted a new position call PIC (person in charge). Who will handle all MOD functions and basically run the club (for a joke of a wage). The company has been bragging all year how they gained 3 years growth in one year and then slashed everything. This is typical BJs move...uneducated and classless...you’re welcome from the thousands of employees that risked their well being to make your company run over the past year. My heart goes out to all of the employees affected by these unbelievable events.

All bakery, deli and produce, managers are gone. They expect one manager to oversee all 3 departments. It can not be done. The stress level of that job will be off the charts. The team members who were in those positions were hands on managers. They are being replaced by someone who maybe an expert in one of those departments but knows nothing about the others. They are expected to learn the job procedures by reading some job description literature and by watching some videos. Plus they have been instructed not to do any hands on labor. The perishables will be a disaster. If you want to buy a cake? It will be decorated by somebody who has zero business in doing that task. No training, no experience. However they did watch a video on how to do it.

Also the HR position is gone. Ops mgr gone. Those are just a few. We now have a standard schedule. Non negotiable. If you want time off good luck with that. They got around offering any severance packages in most cases by being scumbags and finding ways to get around it.

There is now a campaign starting to unionize. Many of us were never much in favor of a union over the years but after this. The time has come.

The executive team lead by the scumbag CEO Lee Delaney should be ashamed of themselves doing this now. These team members just went through a year of hell working tirelessly through the heart of the pandemic as essential workers.

Now they are out of a job after the company just announced record profits. Anybody in for organizing a union or maybe organizing a demonstration in front of Bj's clubs ?Reply here.

Got rid of overnight supervisors, bakery managers, deli supervisors/managers, produce supervisors, HR managers. Cutting pay of senior managers, meat managers, cut pay of merchandise manager and moving them to overnight. I'm sure there is more I am forgetting.

Good thing the company was way up last year and brought in more CEOs.

Senior manager jobs being eliminated, keeping younger people in better roles, offering older managers lower paying jobs or nothing at all.

Definitely something going on. All managers called in for a meeting tomorrow morning. Apparently only the GM’s know what it’s about.
