If you were let go recently and are on COBRA, please ensure you get the subsidy from anthem, Govt is paying the COBRA from April 2021 to Sept. This has been approved by Stimulus package.
there are layoffs every single month. it's not if or when, it's if your name is on the next spreadsheet. period.
There has been a steady stream of layoffs for many years. They fly under the radar by spreading between different departments and states. I can only hope that the elite team members can get the opportunity to experience the same. Employee sacrifice and dedication are taken full advantage of. But it is not appreciated. And, our reward is train our offshore replacements.
Suspect there will be hiring soon. VPs made their quota’s, now work has to get done.
How many RIFs were there so far this year? Marketing? Provider?
Many great knowledgeable people supporting the company and associates were let go. Relationships destroyed. Years of investing time and knowledge in a company, gone. And for what? So they can hire more VPs?
After the recent marketing blood bath, rumors are more layoffs are coming. Anthem is no longer a great company.
They are working hard on bots to automate work and layoff more people. Just stayed prepared or look externally if you can't take the constant threat and stress of layoff. I stay so busy and exhausted from working overtime, I barely have the time to search and interview externally. But now that the AIP check is in the bank, I will be trying to make it a higher priority.
